It seems no-one is immune to having their account hacked at the moment.
I'm seriously considering restricting bank access to an absolute minimum for those without an Authenticator. Please let me have your thoughts on this.

PS please feel free to PM me if you have an authenticator and I'll start keeping a note of who uses one.
PPS Useful security info from Blizzard.

I do have one and encourage anyone to get one. It's hassle free and why risk getting all your chars deleted and your guildbank raided for less cost then half a month of subscription.
If you don't have one and would like one, get it here. If you're lucky enough to have your operator and phonemodel supported, you can even get it for 50 pence.... I mean... peanuts.... Mobile authenticator
Security wise, there is no difference between the mobile or the fob one.

Worth a look. In summary, an authenticator is not a replacement for due care & common sense.

At least this specific attack is PC-only, so us Mac people are OK for now.
An application-level firewall that alerts you to outgoing connections by unauthorised applications also makes sense. I use Little Snitch (Mac only, not free but not hugely expensive).
[Edit]WoW.com's account security pages contain an update on where this particular nasty comes from and how to avoid it.
